German Bread Haus in Oakland Park

They have moved the bread that you used to be able to see from the road. Unfortunately it makes the place look deserted but they are there baking up great bread!

Interesting place love the look outside but very small inside.. It's OK... Maybe I went on a few bad days.. I believe the people that work there may be over worked.. Not very patient people to deal with. But worth a a quick try.. If you know exactly what you want.. Might even be Better for you..

Nice little German bakery. Definitely wasn't expecting to find something like this and here. Its old but they still put old good Quality bread and sweets.

There is young girl in there she is probably in her teen years but very sweet and smart young lady she makes the bakery very welcoming she gives her opinion on things and is very honest but anyways the bakery has many delicious items the owners are very kind people they donate there bread to my church and that's how I found out about them

Always superbly mouthwatering as the aromas give hints of what's in the oven. Don't drive by without stopping. Just pick up Holiday Stollen. Wow

Bread is great but there is little to choose from when it comes to pastries and the pastries do not remind me of home. The staff is friendly.

I’ve been coming here for years.... love their pastries and during the holidays they have holiday favorites that are simply delicious.... but you have to grab them while they last :)

Excellent Bread and Rolls! Yes, it is a bit expensive. But quality costs more. The staff has always been friendly to me.Otherwise... there is of course Wonderbread ( Makes you wonder why they call it bread).

Crazy good, old recipe breads....Stollen!!!

I have known this place for many years. The reason I haven't been there more, is because it's a bit of a drive for me, and also because I can find their breads at different locations closer. I recently was in the oakland Park area, and decided to stop by to buy some of their products. Regrettably I found a sign and a note that they were now closed to the public. That was as sad, as this was a place came out of a fairy tale. Their products are fantastic, especially the German breads. I posted a picture so you know where to find them.

I was very disappointed to know that this place is no longer open. You can buy their bread in other locations but no longer at this location. Pity, I always enjoyed stopping by here.

Fresh bread made daily

I went here looking for Ginderbread men / cookies. Nope. They only make them at Christmas time. This was in June. You have 2 Ginderbread men on your sign. Misleading. The name of your business is literally Ginderbread Haus. Like going to Burger King and told, "We only make burgers at 4th of July. " Now in all fairness, I got Ginderbread cookies at Christmas time and they were incredible delicious. Please make them all year round. Please.

No complains about anything! They had bread there, that was clear. and Cheap! do you have something against me? Sorry but I would have to hear your reasons! How ruthless of you to determine how terrible my situation is. I hope you did not give me the chance to say what I really thought about that bakery. So what if I wear my colored nails: "open-minded" ugh! What an old term - "open-minded," in fact! I'm not sure if I felt very discriminated or what! So typical of all the others. You can never talk to someone who talks too much, that would work for bread. Well, how typical for someone who's never been to Germany to say that all Germans eat sweet bread! Nobody even spoke German there; that's typical, too.

I always come in like twice a month on a Saturday for one reason this young girl guess that young girl that worked there no longer does its no longer as welcoming and I only go on Saturdays because of her because she would take her time with each and every customer and I really appreciated that everything still taste delicious as usually just not as welcoming it's sad because I'm so use to having her help me she was the one to help me when I first started going there hopefully she comes back the customer service really went down now that she's no longer there..

Delicious GB Cookies and Strudel. Sorry to hear that they recently closed. After so many years of delicious and healthy bakery goods. So glad that I had the opportunity to enjoy their yummy sweets.

Our favorite local bakery! An authentic, intimate setting compliments the cheery homemade aura. It's like walking into Santa's Bake shop, minus the snow! We love their dense, nutritious, organic bread so much so we pick up a loaf every week! Obviously any type of baked goods that come out of a gingerbread house are to die for! We highly reccommend this establishment!!!

Adorable bakery, friendly staff members. Cookies, can't eat just one. Feigning for scones? Order in advance, they disappear fast.

They have the BEST ginger bread cookies ever -- they even decorate them FL style in bikinis -- soo cute! My kids just love them. You can even buy them plain to decorate.

I drove 12 hours for their Almond horns.

Good bread. Dense and hearty like true German recipes. Pastries, however, while good in flavor are definitely not authentic. Strudel is Americanized recipe of puff pastry with filling. Perhaps they do make their own puff pastry by hand, I am not sure, but that's not a true strudel in either case. Strudel is a denser sweet bread. Overall, though, they have good products.

They closed

The bread is fantastic. And if problem is the website. All the information is totally wrong. After driving 40 miles to go to the actual bakery, I find out they were closed. Not only that, there’s a sign on the door that says they are not open to The public anymore. I tried calling the phone numbers listed on the Internet before I drove all the way there, but they were either disconnected or no one answered the phone.Like I said the bakery is fantastic, the reason I went there is because I couldn’t find it in any stores At the time. Sensen I was able to buy it at my local fresh market at the time. since then I was able to buy it at my local fresh market. I do hope they correct their website and Internet information…
